Nylon MD MoS2 distributor B.I.R.S. Machine & Supply

NYLON MD (CAST) Molybdenum Disulphide

B.I.R.S. Machine distributes Cast Nylon MD sheet, plate, rod, and tube..

Nylon MD contains finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) to enhance its load bearing capabilities while maintaining the impact resistance inherent to nylon. It a popular choice as a dry lubricant-filled bearing material. Manufactured to be a more crystalline product with improved wear resistance, Cast Nylon MD also offers improved compressive strength It is the most used grades for gears, sheaves, sprockets, and custom parts. Nylatron® GSM is oftencalled Nylon MD or Nylon Mos2. Nylon MD is a black or grey black color.

Note: Nylon absorbs moisture and should NOT be used in high-humidity or underwater applications.

FEATURES

  • Industrial grade materal with inhanced wear properties & compressive strength.

  • Excellent bearing material, a replacement for bronze, brass, steel, aluminum & other metals.
